Halo infinite looks set to make some major changes to its in-game shop here in the new future and will specifically "reduce prices across the board" from next Tuesday, January 18, according to Jerry Hook, design manager at Halo infinite developer 343 Industries. This comes after a lot of frustration from players, ever since they first got a good look at the microtransactions associated with cosmetics for the title, and it seems that the developer has finally decided that enough is enough.
"We've been monitoring the store discussions, bundles and prices closely since launch," Hook shared on social media late last week. "Using data and community feedback, we will begin to roll out changes in how we package and price goods [Halo] Infinite - and it all starts next week. "

We will try new things throughout the rest of the season so we can continue to learn and improve in the future. Please continue with feedback during this process and I hope to see you all next week for the Cyber Showdown event!- jerry hook (@hookscourt) January 15, 2022
"From Tuesday, the shopping experience will vary from week to week," Hook continued. "We're focused on reducing prices across the board, delivering stronger values in our bundles, starting to put individual items outside bundles and more."
In short, it seems to Halo infinite will lower prices for pretty much everything, include individual items outside bundles more often and provide more variance in general in what is offered. That’s just what has been explicitly announced, and Hook indicates the team will continue to try “new things” for the rest of this season to improve the store in the game.
As for the video game itself, Halo infinite is currently available for Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One and PC. You can check out our entire previous coverage of the latest and greatest Halo title right here.
