Meijer stores advertise free home delivery to help with pandemics

WALKER, MI - Meijer officials announced that all of its stores throughout the Midwest will offer free home delivery on orders over $ 35 for nearly two weeks.

Company officials said Monday, Jan. 17, that the program begins this week and runs through Jan. 29. Customers can shop online or by using the Meijer app and schedule a delivery time.

The service is offered free of charge to help customers endure the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, said Christina Fecher, Meijers corporate communications senior manager.

Customers can order food, beauty products and even beer or wine. Personal shoppers select the items according to customer preferences, and customers now accept or reject real-time order exchanges, officials said.

Headquartered in Walker, Meijer operates more than 250 stores in six states, most of them in Michigan.
