In a surprising release, the Anniversary Edition of the popular 2010 visual novel game Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc has been launched on Xbox Series X | S and Xbox One. In addition, the game is also available through both Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass. Compared to the original version of the game, Anniversary Edition has a gallery where players can watch and replay character events, dialogues and sprites. There is also an Ultimate Gallery featuring promotional illustrations and character sheets from the game's original art book.
Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc is the first game in the Danganronpa series that primarily focuses on schoolboy Makoto Naegi and his classmates as they find themselves trapped in their school, forced to deal with an evil bear named Monokuma. The player must try to find out who Monokuma really is as the bear tries to turn the students against each other and provoke violence.
For many years, the Danganronpa series has been exclusive to PlayStation and the Steam ecosystem, making the release of this game on the Xbox and Microsoft Store very surprising and unexpected. Hopefully we see more of the Danganronpa games coming to the Xbox on the way forward.
Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc Anniversary Edition is available for $ 15 on Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One and Windows PCs (either through the Microsoft Store or via Steam).
