The Boys: Diabolical trailer: Amazon’s R-rated cartoon gets a first look

Hot on the heels of Netflix's trailer for the retro animation Head the series comes Amazon's own mix of old-fashioned cartoons and bizarre modern comedy, The boys present: Diabolical. The anthology series will have its full premiere in March, and if the excerpt from the footage is any indication, it should flow over fans of the flagship series with its own set of gruesome laughs.

Another production from Titmouse, the leaders of adult animation behind everything from Paramount Plus' Star Trek: Lower Decks to Netflix Chicago party and Midnight Gospel to Hulu's Animaniacs reboot and Amazon's own Critical Role series The legend of Vox Machina, Devilish promises eight 12-14 minute episodes, each with its own animation style. The clip, which was teased in the first look of the series, feels like a Chuck Jones throwback with a violent streak - so Ren & Stimpy, basically.

That Devilish shorts come from a range of talents including Awkwafina, Garth Ennis, Eliot Glazer and Ilana Glazer, The boys produce Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogen, Simon Racioppa, Justin Roiland and Ben Bayouth, Andy Samberg and Aisha Tyler.

The boys present: Diabolical premieres March 4 Season 3 of The boys starts on June 3rd.
