In the days prior to the publication of the memoir became Zoey 101 actor made several public appearances to discuss some of its content. She was quickly subjected to a large amount of criticism for repeatedly commenting on her sister's year-long conservatory over the book's promotion.

Britney has been vocal about how she felt limited and abused under the legal system, which saw her life and financial affairs controlled by her father and other lawyers from 2008 to November 2021. When she spoke against the conservatory in court last year, the singer memorably accused her family, including Jamie Lynn, to do "nothing" to help.

In light of the fact that the "Toxic" singer has not formally discussed the conservatory since it was fired, and especially her recent remarks about being "frightened"To do interviews, several people - including Britney herself - have condemned Jamie Lynn for not only choosing to publish a memoir now, but also for participating in television interviews to promote it.

And although Britney herself has made her feelings about Jamie Lynn's memories very clear - even accusing her of selling the book at her "expense" last week - things have now taken a more serious turn.

It appears that Britney has enlisted the help of her lawyer Rosengart - who played a crucial role in closing the conservatory - to come up with a more serious appeal.

Rosengart filed a formal termination and waiver letter on Jan. 17, asking Jamie Lynn to refrain from mentioning Britney during the rest of her advertising campaign.

"Dear Mrs Spears: As you know, I represent your sister Britney Spears and I am writing at her request on the above matter. We are writing with some hesitation because the last thing Britney wants is to draw more attention to your poorly timed book. and its misleading or outrageous allegations about her, "reads the letter, which Page Six has obtained.

“Even though Britney has not read and does not intend to read your book, she and millions of her fans were shocked to see how you have exploited her for financial gain. She will not tolerate that, nor will she, ”it says.

The letter continues: "You of all people know the abuse and the misdeeds that Britney had to endure during the conservatory, after first growing up with a 'destructive' alcoholic father. In fact, your own book reportedly says that your father spent most of mine life in that cycle of destructive behavior. His drunkenness caused me periods of pain and sorrow. "

"As I have said before, after enduring a 13-year-old conservatory that deprived her of civil rights and fundamental freedoms, Britney will no longer be bullied by her father or anyone else," it adds.

Rosengart goes on to stress that Britney was the family's "breadwinner" - perhaps referring to Spears' family denying that they used her money to their advantage.

"Publicly airing false or outrageous complaints is wrong, especially when it's designed to sell books. It's also potentially illegal and defamatory," the letter reads.

"You said recently that the book was not about her." She takes you at her word and we therefore demand that you stop mentioning Britney derogatoryly during your campaign. "If you fail to do so or defame her, Britney will be forced to consider and take all appropriate legal action," it said.

As Rosengart notes, Jamie Lynn refers to Britney several times throughout her personal memoirs, despite her public claims that the book "is not about her."

After Jamie Lynn's most recent appearance on Good morning America Last week - where the actor repeatedly reaffirmed his love for Britney while discussing the traumatic conservatory - the "Gimme More" singer quickly accused her sister of selling a book for her "expense".

"The two things that bothered me, as my sister said, were that my behavior was out of control. She was never near me 15 years ago at the time, so why are they talking about it at all, unless she wants to sell a book at my expense? ” asked Britney in a Twitter post.

In an almost immediate response, Jamie Lynn shared a statement to Instagram rebuking the idea that the memory was about Britney.

“I hate to burst my sister's bubble, but my book is not about her. I can not help but think that I was also born as Spears, and that some of my experiences involve my sister, ”she wrote.

"I've been working hard since I was a teenager at all, and I've built my career despite just being someone's little sister," she added.

And although Britney initially hit back at the post, calling her Jamie Lynn a "scumbag," she went on to insist she has unconditional love for her sister in a separate Twitter post, calling her feud "the clover."

"I know you have worked hard for the life you have and you have made it great !!!! But I think we both have to agree that the family has never been so hard on you , as they have been by me, "she wrote.

"All I know is that I love you unconditionally," she continued. “So go ahead and say what you want ... it's so tacky for a family to fight in public this way !!! You say you love me ... but your loyalty is still with the people who hurt me the most. "

Jamie Lynn jumped on Instagram shortly after and asked her sister to call her so they could fix things away from the public.

But ironically, a few days after Jamie Lynn encouraged Britney to handle things privately, she appeared on the popular podcast Call her Dad to discuss the matter again.

Jamie Lynn sat down with host Alex Cooper for an in-depth chat and became incredibly honest about the complex dynamics of the Spears family, especially by opening up about the impact her father's alcohol abuse had on the household.

To discuss how she felt as an "afterthought" in the family, Jamie Lynn mentions that the "world" has long compared her to Britney before breaking down in tears while questioning her own worth.

"It's like I felt my whole life I meant nothing," she said with tears in her eyes.

She also reflects on Britney's past relationship with Justin Timberlake - who she describes as "one of the first healthy male father figures" in her life - and their infamous breakup in 2002.

"I remember him with joy because it was probably one of the best times of the whole family's life," she says. "You know, things were good."

When she talked about how she was affected by the split - which saw Britney being scrutinized in the media for years - Jamie Lynn said she was "so sad."

"I think everyone thought it was forever," she says, "I was so sorry [because] my sister was so sorry. "

Since the release, the podcast appearance has attracted criticism online, with fans arguing - once again - that Jamie Lynn should not speak on such a large platform until Britney has had the chance to do so.

Well, it did not take long before Britney herself entered the discussion to let everyone - namely Jamie Lynn - know how she was doing.

First, when she shared a video of herself having a nostalgic fit, Britney reminded people of the hardships she has been through throughout her life.

"In life many people say" DO I MEAN ???? "... try to eat alone for 4 months morning ... dinner ... and evening Jamie Lynn," she wrote.

"I asked myself every day" IS ANYONE COMMON ??? WTF ??? DO I MAKE MEANING ??? ” I would honestly be very interested in seeing your beautiful face in the surroundings I was forced to be in and asking yourself "DO I MEAN ???" "she added.

"I did not manage to cry ... I had to be strong ... TOO STRONG," she wrote. "So yes ... YOU ARE SIGNIFICANCE, and never think for a damn second that you do not."

In another post shared moments later, Britney directly addressed her sister's comments on her and Justin's breakup.

"I flew home to Jamie Lynn on the couch and watched her TV shows right after Justin and I broke up ... I was a ghost there," Britney wrote. "I had been working all my life and I did not know how to be served by Mom."

"Sit there and be served chocolate milkshakes with the perfectly crushed ice cream with the secret thick sugar while Jamie Lynn is 12, she pampers herself with the TV for hours and then goes out on a raft by the pool ... I'm in shock, because this was never my life, ”she continued.

"Justin's family was everything I knew for many years ... Things were different now and Jamie Lynn had a new Nickelodeon show ... All I can remember saying was' FUCK !!! How the hell does a 12-year-old land a Nickelodeon show ???? ” she added.

To address the much-publicized interview she did after the breakup, Britney wrote: "It was a People Magazine cover ... The people showed up, and as Jamie Lynn says I was scared," she added that she might have need "a little support."

"My mom was on pain medication and could barely have a conversation in the house because she and my dad went their separate ways and she was more messy than anything else !!!! I remember her sitting on the floor in a conversation , and she never got up, ”she added.

And after her emotional and honest reflection on the breakup, Britney rounded things off with a very direct message addressed to her sister.

"I'm sorry Jamie Lynn, I was not strong enough to do what should have been done ... hit you and mom right over your fucking faces," she wrote.

Jamie Lynn has not yet commented on the latest section of this ongoing feud, nor has she publicly addressed the request for termination and rejection. But if the last week is anything to go by, we can assume she will respond soon.
