Charisma Carpenter response to Joss Whedon interview

Last year, actress Charisma Carpenter came forward with accusations against Buffy the Vampire Slayer creator Joss Whedon, who specifically accused him of being violent towards her on the set while she was pregnant.

Whedon gave a broad interview to New York magazine this week, where he addressed Carpenter's allegations as well as similar allegations from Justice League stars Ray Fisher and Gal Gadot. He ... was not great.

Whedon occasionally admitted to being "not proper" to Carpenter, but rejected her claims regardless. “Most of my experiences with Charisma were lovely and charming,” he said. "She sometimes struggled with her cues, but no one could hit a battle line harder than her."

"#ISstandWithRayFisher," the statement read, "the 'malicious force' and 'bad actor in both senses' who poisoned my weak mind with trendy buzzwords and corrupt ideas about my experiences with a former tyrannical narcissistic boss who is incapable of to take responsibility and just apologize. "

Her statement refers to Whedon's allegations that Fisher was a "malicious force" and "a bad actor in both senses", as well as that Fisher had allegedly influenced others to make similar accusations against Whedon.

Fisher issued his own statement yesterday, in which he apparently referred to Whedon's comments as "lies and hassle" and said: "It seems that Joss Whedon should, after all, be directing an endgame ..."
