Restaurant ‘Friendly’s Café’ opens in western Massachusetts

Well-known New England restaurant chain Friendly's is giving a first look at its new "fast-casual" business, which opens in Massachusetts within a few weeks. The Wilbraham-based firm said its first "Friendly's Café" will open in Westfield in late January or early February. Friendly's said the new service model at this restaurant will give customers the flexibility to order and pay at their own pace. After entering Friendly's Café, customers will have the opportunity to order directly at the counter or through a QR code at their table, where the food and ice cream they have ordered will be delivered to them when it is ready. The new 2,700 square meter restaurant will be able to accommodate 45 guests. One side of the building will be dedicated with four parking spaces reserved for pickup at the curb. Friendly's Café customers will also be able to order food online in advance and pick up their items from a designated to-go area or have it delivered.
